At the beginning of the week we looked at what was needed in a communications strategy.

We focussed on social media as way of engaging with young people and spoke about the key components to creating an effective social media campaign.

During the course we all used the skills learnt over the week to create our own campaigns that promotes youth participation in the EU Parliamentary Elections.

“Everything bad is good for you” – during the session it was suggested people read this book because it contains information on traditional media and social media. 

During the social media session we discussed the tactics to use during a crisis – we used the Kelloggs tweet as an example of poor crisis management. You can read more here:
